Push and Pull Poetry: An Assignment in Demonstrating Movement
Here is your chance to do some poetry. You must publish and perform this work. You are to demonstrate your comprehension of push and pull factors in motivating people, ideas or things to move from one place to another.
Objective:
Demonstrate comprehension of key terms in movement and human geography.
Discover and develop an appreciation for the human experience in movement and migration.
Develop and demonstrate creativity in solving an assignment's challenge.
What must be done:
Write a poem about the movement of a people, person, idea, thing or even service.
This can be personal or global. Check with me first if it is personal.
The poem must show what the push factors were (are) and what the pull factors were (are).
This is to be read in class.
Visual articles must be included:
A map that shows the movement.
Some sort of picture(s)
Shown in background for your performance of your poem
Demonstration of research and knowledge:
You must submit with your poem a page of the source(s) used for your poem.
